the only issue with soft wheels for a new rider is they typically don't have the speed they new to learn correctly. at first it's hard to tell yourself it's much easier to do big standup slides(at least 2 parking spaces) without going over 25mph. hence why I always suggest new riders go with a harder wheel. once you get better go to a softer slide wheel. just my stupid opinion.
