I inlined skated 2 years ago for a whole summer...picked it up pretty quick and learned quite a few tricks but the skates hurt my feet a lot so after that I haven't done it again...(crappy/not-really-fitting skates made my feet bleed after every day ):
I even tried a few rails however - was hella scary though and bailing looked super silly and really hurt like a bitch.

i broke my hand bailing off a handrail at oakland university. once you get decent enough it is just like controlling your bails on a snowboard, you learn *how* to fall properly and roll to distribute the impact. but the 1 time in 100 that you eat it hard, concrete hurts...

spent half the night digging through boxes of my old shit in the basement but no pics pre-college. they must be stashed in the basement at my parents' house or something. Now that this thread drudged up my fruit-boot history, I kinda want to find a pic or two to post

I played indoor inline hockey as a kid since there was no ice-hockey arena in my small town. Sometimes I would take my hockey skates to the park and try to ride some of the features but it was kind of boring, TBH. After losing my interest in hockey never really had the urge to do any inline skating. I think that's about when I finally got my first skateboard like all my other friends.
