I went surfing for the first time on Saturday which was pretty sweet. Would be a cool off-season sport to supplement snowboarding but it isn't super realistic given that I live near Seattle. Although surfing 2-3 times per summer may be doable.
But later that day, I tried another board sport for the first time.....skim boarding. It was pretty fun and would be super easy/cheap to get into. Anyone else skim board often? I'm a big fan of natural jibs on a snowboard....maybe I could jib drift wood

Skim Boarding is so much fun! And there are a ton of places here in Western Washington where you can do it. In fact, some of the most progressive freestyle skimming comes straight out of Washington. Check out Whidbey Island and Dash Point, they jib way more stuff than driftwood out there. And if you wanna buy local, then check out Dash Boards and Jack'd Skims.
