Hahahaha that's a brutal first day out. Where'd the board bust at? Was it between the truck baseplate (or whatever its called, the shit the bolts go through) and the 1x4 you nailed under the deck?

I screwed the 1x4 down but it didn't break just the plywood, it basically followed the inside line of the binding. The more I think about it, I sure am glad I added that 1x4.

If I hadn't added the 1x4, I bet you I would have done the splits.
I can just see what would have happened.
With my feet in the bindings & each foot having it's own set of wheels, there would be no way I'd have enough strength to keep my legs from sliding out, that could have been catastrophic.

Well that shitty particle board is always going to break.. My brothers make custom longboards out of different woods/fiber pressed together in my shop. They hate your idea but they are also pretty good and need their feet to move. (they race downhill and are good at slides and flat land stuff..)

I am like you, I suck on a longboard or skateboard.. I see the appeal, but you need a better deck and some kind of hand break as found on mountain boards. I won't longboard down hills because I'd like my flesh on the inside of my body, haha.

All right I uploaded it, & appropriately named it "Eating shit". Thanks Hobo, but it is super dark & you can't really see the gracefulness of my dive.
If you you download the video & play it on your own media player you can fuck with the brightness & then it can be seen clearly.
I had to guide my friend over the phone to be able to download it because he's useless on a pc, but he thought it was worth the effort & couldn't stop laughing as I kept hearing the splat over the phone, again & again.

Should be good for a chuckle, I did about 2 seconds after it happened, in between the groans of agony because it hurt like a son of a bitch. My hip is so sore, I have a beautiful purple lump.

While I was setting up my camera the pigs drove by all slow & put the spot light on me. Of course with all the druggies thieves & hookers around, they gotta hassle the guy standing behind the tripod, fuck I hate cops.

Put this into consideration, if that was a normal skateboard & I ollied down a set of 4 stairs onto a 4 foot landing then quickly ollied down another set of 4 stairs, that would make me a not bad skater no?

So although I ate shit, I still think that's not too bad. I would never attempt that on a regular skateboard/longboard.
I'll be making another one, I just have to learn that I need to start on the bunny hill, rather than going for something more advanced right away.
But that probably won't happen, bunny hills suck.

Laugh it up bitches https://vimeo.com/47643689

Ya right meh, for someone who doesn't skateboard?
How long have you been skatin' for?
Lets see you ollie down 4 stairs then another set, if it's so easy.
Obviously you could go up them too right?
Where are all your vids snowklanger?

Show me up, I love competition. Online "in your face"?

I don't think anyone could ollie up a set of 4 stairs then up another set of 4 stairs with only a 4 foot section in between.
They are longer than they are high, & you wouldn't be able to squeak a push in there, so until I see it, it can't be done.

I'm just getting closer to immortality!

You asked. All that matters is if your having fun right?

I used to skate alot, and I wasn't remotely good to be sponsored, but I skated a fucking shitton for 15 years. I'm proud to say I did some pretty badass shit back then, but its been over a decade since I quit.

The last few years I split time between urban destruction, parks, and some serious downhilling (not like the luge 70 mph dudes, but still some cool shit).

Instead of bragging about anything I could do, I'll admit what I couldnt:

-couldn't do flips and verial tricks, just ollies and cabs. Every once in awhile I would pull off a pressure flip through complete luck

-I never spent any time above the lip on a vert ramp, wanted to but just never got into it...

I've never been as good as anyone who IS good at the sports I love, however I have been able to get just good enough to enjoy the speed and the enjoyment of the tri-sport (surf skate snow) stance. Surfing has been my number one love for over 20 years, and I don't get to do it very much or very well, but if theres 8-12 foot surf when I come to visit you better believe I go paddle out.

Common don't be mad at me cuz I like it when you fall down, that's what buddies do.

I had a vid of me hitting a very small kicker snowboarding but my buddy who took it is tech stupid and it got lost. Not only is it unimpressive but nothing bad happened either.

The pic in my avatar is from the preschool park if that makes you feel better.

I'm not mad, not in the least. For the record, I love that kinda shit talk between buddies, I thrive on competition.
That's why I said online "in your face" cause it would simply be just for fun.
Not that I was serious, just slangin' shit.

I just thought it was unrealistic to say that.
Do you really think someone could ollie up 2 flights of stairs like that?
Maybe, but I doubt it, & if they could, that would only make them decent?

So you could honestly ollie down a set of 4 stairs land, reset your feet in a fraction of a second & do it again?
I'm not sayin' you can't, but I will say you couldn't 5 min after you started skateboarding.

For what I tried to do, on day 1.
I think if you put a year into it, one could be phenomenal.
Maybe not me, but someone.

I definitely give you props for that man, especially considering how sketchy the board looked.
