Hey man Congrats on being a fellow tri guy! They are damn addicting. I am doing my first Ironman next summer. All summer long I just did triathlons. They are so damn fun I won't lie. Think you'll do any more?

Good luck on the ironman! Yeah I will start doing more now for sure. Thinking a couple more sprints to learn the ropes and improve transitions, then go for olympic, then maybe a half ironman the year after and we'll see after that.

I'm figuring it's got to be damn good training for snowboarding!

Are you doing the full marathon Iron Man or the half marathon Iron Man? JW either way it's more than I could do. I suck at swimming.

I am doing a full Ironman. Doing IM Couer d'Alene in June. I did a half-iron this past year and had an absolute blast. I fell apart on the run due to a lack of taking in calories. I took in only 200 calories on the bike. Dumb.....

For a while, he got DQ'd every time as he couldn't make the cut-off time in the swim, but obviously he didn't care and they didn't force him off the course.

There is/was a guy who used to do the ironman every year in a huge, fur Fred Flinstone Water Buffalo hat. He got DQ'd every time for not wearing a helmet on the bike

Nice! ..and congrats! My 49-yr old neighbor just ran a 1/2 marathon and did well. He's registered for a full marathon next month. My neighbors are all very close and he's been an inspiration to health and fitness.
