Saw a couple skiers doing this two weeks ago in Panorama, although they just used their skis to take off, after which they just glided above the runs for a while.

I know! Parts of that made me almost sick..to see certain death scenes If you didn't have a wing, + frikkn hauling ass, damn....

I would try it in a heartbeat though, on a very very wide open blue...with an instructor....bucket list

Yea, come to Hasliberg. This would be a nice spot to learn it

We see them frequently at our resort. The spot this guy started is a paragliding take off spot and also one of the spots where some of the nice sidecountry runs start. Funny to whatch him fly over my tracks

I did that on the frozen ocean in New Brunswick while I was working up there. A french kid that worked for me took me out on the ocean and tried to teach me, I failed miserably. I kinda got it toward the end of the day, they're hard to control. It looked pretty fun if you could get the hang of it. I see people doing it on lake Dillon doing it from time to time.

I want one of these, video is kinda boring till the 2:45 mark or so

Might be a little tricky on a board though, haha

Omg neni...speedflying aside, that run looks frikkn epic! All those natural quarterpipes and hits in that ravine, holyshyt....day like that i think i would actually prefer to be on the ground

when i lived in very rural south central france, there was an old farmer probably 75yrs, who buzzed the lil village every evening with one of those back-fan paragliders... Awesome!
, we'de wave and all...kicking myself since for not hitting him up to try it
