2013 Wake report

My season is kicking off in T minus 3 hours I'll post some pics in here when I get back. Waiting on the damn UPS guy or I'd be outta here already.

I know there are more wakeboarders on here so I thought I would start a thread where we can share pics, videos, TR's, and advice.

When you say "UPS Guy" do you really mean "Dad"?

Going to the lake in a few hours, tomorrow we put the dock and boat lift in the water... probably still way too cold on the water to actually wakeboard though, I think the ice just finally disapeared!

Naw dude, I'm 43 and have my own boat, my days of waiting for Dad are long gone So yes I really am waiting on the UPS guy. I ordered a new carb for my boat a few weeks ago, and finally had time to put it on Wed. Fucking thing leaked, so I emailed the company a video of the leak. They were cool enough to overnight me the replacement carb, checked tracking this morning and sure enough its on the truck...wish the bastard would hurry the hell up. If anyone needs a carb for an older boat hit up Marine Carburetors | MerCruiser | OMC | Volvo Penta | Rochester | Holley their customer service is above and beyond.

I'm sure the water is still cold here too, I don't care, I've rode in some pretty cold water...like take your breath away cold Have fun putting the dock and lift in

Here's a pic of the old girl, been a pretty good boat for the 9 years I've owned it. Nothing special but gets the job done, been saving my pennies for a real inboard wakeboat...Maybe next season

Nice, hope you get it up and runnin!

Ya my father in laws boat is also older and pretty small, 90HP Campion, does the trick though for a non-serious wake boarder. My brother in law on the other hand has a 350HP Malibou, little bit older but really sweet boat, I just don't get out on it much as we are always at a different lake.

I dunno, the water in Northern Alberta right now is like just above the freezing mark, taking your breath away is a given among other things. If its really hot out I'll ride but I'm gonna wait and see.

If it's 90' out the water CAN have ice in it... jeez. Try coming here when the water is 34' and the temp outside is only 70'. We'll see if you get in

Have fun!!!

I try to get out wake boarding some. I got up my first try ever.

But, when I'm up I'm very unstable. Is it possible I'm on too big of a board and I'm not getting enough "cut" or something?? I feel like the board just loses all control once the boat gets over 20 or so.

The boat I go in is an old Cheetah, no high pole or fancy speakers but it does the job.
