Google Video

Has anyone checked out the new Google Video service yet? They seem to want to be the next "YouTube." Anyone think they'll make it?

I have heard that too but haven't checked it out. Do you have the link ? I have doubts that they can make it like the 'you tube' as 'you tube' is really the original and really... funny but let's open our eyes and check google's video, they might be able to make it.

Here's the link, below. It looks a lot like YouTube.

I wonder if google having this site, and their need to be a bit more conservative as a public company, might result in YouTube lifting some of their conservative parameters.

Coda, what do you mean by youtube lifting some of their 'conservative parameters'?

BTW, most of the time, competition helps

I definitely agree competition helps.

To answer your question about parameters, I've always found it admirable that YouTube monitors what gets put up on their site, bearing in mind anyone of any age can be viewing it. Someone might upload a video that YouTube will feel is not appropriate for everyone's viewing and they will immediately take it off.

If Google uses its might to take over some of YouTube's space, I hope the latter doesn't sacrifice the ideals they seem to currently employ just to attract more traffic.
