Default Rising Canadian dollar!

So, this was really weird to see today. I'm looking at Northwave boots on Ebay and the listing price say $95.00 US. Right underneath in brackets we have the Canadian conversion at $95.08 CDN. An EIGHT CENT DIFFERENCE!! Muahahaha!! Oh Jesus, it is going to be a great fucking year!!

Omg, it's rediculous. I've been shopping around for longboard stuff, and buying it from my American counter-parts as fast as I can. I really hope this dollar stays for awhile. It sure is a nice change!

No doubt! I've been thinking of opening a US bank account and buying few thousand US dollars as a vacation fund account before the dollar sinks down again! TOTALLY SWEET!!

That is mighty decent of you! The US dollar may be dropping but a low Canadian dollar really boosted our exports majorly. Lots of work to be had. Canadians will really be buying a lot of US made products now, especially direct from the US as our retailers here won't reduce the prices to match on par with the US cost of the item (for instance a US snowboard magazine has $3.99 on the cover while the Canadian price is around $7.00, so it would be cheaper to get the subscription direct from the US). The consumer here is getting rather vocal about it now.

Enjoy it, and I think it's here to stay for awhile. Congress is going to have to raise America's debt ceiling yet again to keep things going. See, a costly war in Iraq has it's advantages for other countries...
