what is Tivo? would it work by connecting it to a dish?

ah i checked their www; i see thatthey do

but we have DVR over here, altho under a different brand, plus you have to subscribe to their recording facility service, plus recordings have a finite life span! ie they are automatcally erased from the hard drive!

thanx for the thought tho; but additionally, i was watching the hockey via live streaming over the interweb; 4 games running side by side at the same time!

hardcore hockey!

"Is the TiVo service available internationally?

At this time, the TiVo service is available in the 50 United States of America, the District of Columbia, Canada, Mexico through Cablevision and and Taiwan through TGC.

The TiVo service is currently not supported in Puerto Rico or other U.S. territories. TiVo will also be launching in Australia in partnership with Channel Seven Networks in 2008. Although the TiVo service is not yet available in all countries, we are working with partners to bring new products to international markets as soon as possible."
