Question GoPro H3 or new Gun????

Ok I sold some gear and got some extra money lying around.
My dilemma, as stated, do I buy a GoPro or a new gun.

GoPro:
  • Mainly would be used for snowboarding
  • My older boys are now mostly off riding with buddies
  • no one could tape me
  • would be nice to have to view my park progression (if I can get someone to tape me)
  • I'm not into making edits

Gun:
  • To shoot a little
  • not home defense
  • not a carry weapon
  • shoot with my kids

really no good or bad reason for either case. Just thought I'd ask to get some input from you guys.

Have a great Christmas SBF friends !

Will your old gun still kill people? Probably?

That was easy.

Now this is a question you don't hear everyday!

Personally, Of the two choices I would get the GoPro, but I'm not into guns.

You could always treat yourself to a new board with upcoming post-Xmas discounts!

Happy Holidays.

TT we discussed this already you and I and as stated not a defense or carry weapon. For fun target shooting possibly league shooting, but doubt that do to time constraints.
I know guns aren't for everyone and I'm really not looking for a thread like that.
These are 2 things I enjoy and was just looking for some input since both purchases have pros/cons. I understand this is totally a personal call and one would be used mainly for snowboarding and the other anytime during the year, but mainly summer months as we all do something else during the snow time

GreyDragon I was thinking of some new gear

If you already have a gun, get the GP, that way you can film yourself shooting, and snowboarding. Also, which would you use more of? The camera or the gun? Target shooting is fun, and all that jazz, but it adds up pretty quick. Usually, once you have the camera, you're mostly set to go.

Ya, I know.

I want a gopro so fuckin' bad it's killing me.

There still should be some powder around there, no?

Having never ridden in powder, you might not know that you can turn your board into a powder board

Go set your bindings to the farthest back inserts, so you have the most nose you can get. Then do your kids.

Depending on how much money you could get a GP2 or GP3 and get a 22 also from a pawn shop. I have lots of guns and got a GP3 last year to upgrade my GP2 and could not be happier as I use it for skydiving and scuba a ton. Also great to have when I do go boarding or mtn biking it is nice to have.

Hurry, you might not see it for a while again.

I just had some buddies go to Baldface lodge for 4 days.
(I could've gone, & should've gone, for $800 instead of $2700 & I took to long to pull the trigger It filled up & I was left out in the cold. This, I already regret & pretty sure I will for the rest of my life.)

Could've rode with Travis Rice & a handful of old school pro's
Never have I felt more retarded in my life, for not buyin' a ticket.

Anywho....My point.

After day 1 my buddy told me he had the best run of his entire life. When I think of that, I get goose bumps.
In my 25 years of riding, I've had some runs that... Well... Make my eyes well up trying to find a word to describe them.

I told my buddy that I don't think he's had that run yet. (he'd only been there 1 day & had 3 more to do)

I told him to get it on film. Is there anything better than having the, & I mean THE best run you've ever had in your life, captured POV style, so you could ride that fuckin' run, every single day. Forever.

Just think about that for a second.

I'm also really fuckin' choked, he didn't listen to me.
I for one would have loved to seen it. Even though it would be torture, adding salt to my wound. But he won't ever see it either.

So, do as I say, not as I do.
Chop Chop. The clock is tickin'

GoPro H3 that's is all. I'm sure you can have your kids hold it on a pole like others have while your riding. Buy it!

I'm okay with guns, but I also agree with the GoPro. If you don't have the camera, but you already have some guns, why go with the item you already have…but I am also the guy who keeps buying snowboards instead of buying skis when he wants to get back into skiing.
