I've had a good day. Woke up at 12, after a great night. Watched football and listened to music since then. It's been awesome

Oh to be young and carefree again!

I woke up at 3:30 am to a 4 year old with the flu (I won't go into details). Once he was properly taken care of it was about 7, so I made coffee and had some breakfast. First project of the day was moving corral panels into the barn, then I tackled replacing the water pump in the wife's '90 Ford POS pickup. I managed to get it out, but I broke off a bolt, and it being Sunday afternoon in western Wyoming there were no auto parts stores open, so I had to bag the project until Monday.

I then decided to spray some yellowjacket nests up on the eaves of my house, since it was close to sundown and getting cold enough that they weren't active. First one went great, 2nd one was a bit higher, and when I sprayed it some spray came down and hit me in the eye. I lost my balance and fell about 6 feet off the ladder. Nothing more than bruises (taking up snowboarding later in life has taught me to take falls well), but I almost landed on a 6" bolt sticking out of my garage foundation.

So, actually, I'm kind of looking forward to Monday. I need the rest!

Well it sounds like it Powderkeg! Sorry about the spray in the eye, I know how that feels. It isn't fun.

I am carefree... well at least this weekend. I'll be living on my own here in about 2 months, so I've got to get the money situation and all that good stuff sorted out.

PC... sounds like you had a rough day.
Doc Bravo recommends that you stop what you're doing & drink 4-6 beers while watching some snow pron.
All that work can & will make you thirsty.
Other then the sick kidling & almost impaling yourself hope all is well with you & tacomaranch.

Oh yeah my weekend isn't over for 3 more days, biotches!!!

I'm actually off tomorrow since it's opening day for Elk here and they close the schools for the occasion.

Beers: Check
Snow Pron: Check
Wife and kid heading back to Utah: Check

Monday to myself just workin in the garage: Priceless

I'm going to pass on the opening day madness and wait until there is snow on the ground. It's easier to get the elk out if I can use my snowmobile.
