Call of Duty

Okay so I've had COD Ghosts for a few months now. Got it a few weeks after it came out. I've never been a hardcore gamer (except back in the day with Super Mario, Sonic, NBA Jam, etc. as a kid)...

BUT I CAN'T STOP PLAYING THIS! I'm on there usually every day for a few hours! I can stop whenever I want to, to get a beer, some pistachios, check e-mail. As long as I'm back when the next round starts.

So I know, cool story bro, but I just wanted to say that I'm ADDICTED!

FWIW, I started with the SC-2010, moved to the Remington R5 and liked it for a while. Lately I've been using the Lynx (sniper rifle) just the fun of it. Was horrible at first but my K/D ratio keeps creeping up.

Ghosts is the first COD I haven't gotten in years. Maybe it's because I finally got back on a board after a several year hiatus? What sets it apart from BO2 or MW3?

A friend let me borrow Ghosts and I returned it to him after a couple days. It's the first COD since World at War that I just can't stand. I don't know what they changed, but I hate it. I think it might have something to do with the maps being too damn big for the maximum allowable players (6v6). I played it on Xbox so maybe that was it? I've heard it's better on Xbox One and PS4.

I played a little MW3 but not much online, didn't play any Black Ops. I used to play SOCOM back in the day, and this is nice because the time between rounds is short.

There's a contextual lean, that will lean you around a building/wall/tree if you're aiming down the sights.

I like the maps, there's a wide variety of sniper rounds, run and gun rounds, and some in the middle. It feels like a pretty balanced game to me.

Ghosts got better after the map add on. The stock maps are too big. Too easy to camp.

Happy to play with folks-- on Xbox one as manneredzeus49

Red Dead Redemption did this to me. That's the only time I've had a game that I felt like I just could not stop playing.

I've enjoyed the latest GTA, but it didn't suck me in like RDR did. I'm still only about halfway finished with GTA and I picked it up the day it launched. I haven't turned it on for 2 or 3 weeks. I have nothing bad to say about it, the storyline just didn't suck me into it the way RDR's did. Might tear back into it again tonight.

I've played COD Ghosts, but just a little. The coolest thing about the game is being able to use an EOTech site. Cool to be able to use something on a video game that I deal with everyday.

The lean and the knee slide annoy the shit out of me because they blatently stole both of those from the last Medal of Honor.

The early Gran Turismos were amazing, but maybe something changed in me before #5 came out, I own 5 and 6 but just don't really get that into it...

Agreed. GTA3 was the pinnacle of racing games for me. I also own 5 and probably didn't play it 3 total hours.

I don't think you guys are on the same page. GTA (Grand Theft Auto) is not Grand Turismo.
