It can't be non stop action every episode, otherwise it would become predictable and boring. They are setting the scene and story so they can throw in some more action, shock and awe into the mix. I bet you all keep watching it....

The north of the wall scene was awesome. Best sword death so far and Hodor!

Agreed. Although morally questionable, that Hodor thing was quite impressive.

The last episode dropped one of the most important plot reveals so far. Lysa poisoning her husband Jon Arryn set this whole chain of events off and it was always thought to be the Lannisters, sort of sets Littlefinger up as a real player in who may rule in the end.

yea I couldn't wait for that to be revealed and was kind surprised more people weren't jumping on it. pretty much the first scene of the series with the Lannister's is at Jon Arryn's funeral.

Whoever "rules in the end", will not always rule. There are many books and the author is not afraid to kill anybody off.

I mean at the end of the books, that's the whole point of the story, finding out who will rule.
At this rate though, I wouldn't be surprised if Martin kills off everyone we know and someone new takes it in the end.

Now that's more like it!! Those last five minutes were as powerful as anything I've seen on GOT yet. If there's any doubt how good an actor Peter Dinklage is it was quashed after this episode.

There are still a few major players of The Game of Thrones who are yet to be revealed as a player or even introduced to the tv series as of yet.
