I posted those pics of my dog in the "I Love" thread because she is very old and showing signs of fading fast lately. I wanted to have a positive post with her pics first. Before I have to make that inevitable and dreaded Today I Hate post!!!

Losing a beloved pet sucks!!! You have my sympathies!
yeah, i got a few pics in the dog thread on numerous forums before i had to break the news... I'm just upset because... i've never ever not had an animal in the house...

Champ is for sure the king of the house... and he lets us know it in various ways... He's happy right now doesnt seem to be in too much pain... he's got a small abscess from the cancer right now, but it doesnt seem to be effecting his quality of life right now... We wont let him suffer... he deserves better than that.

Sorry to hear dude, black cats rock.
I've had 2.
Fred, the all black femalewho pumped out a million kittens. Rip.

More recently Luther. He disappeared. I got Luther when Fred got put down.

I came home one night from partying, early, cause I ran out of beer. Luckily.
Weirdly, flukily, I lost my house keys. I live in a townhouse, so I had to go all the way around to the back to break in.
Had I not come home early & lost my keys, I wouldn't have ever known, my little black kitten had somehow got into a neighbors yard.

My neighbors had 2 super nice husky's, super nice to people that is.

On my walk around, I could hear a cat dying. It was pitch black, all I could see was white dogs.

Then for a split second, I seen a black cat try & climb the brown tree. It only made it about 2 feet up before they knocked back to the ground & were on it again.

Oh no, not my cat muther fuckers.

I was over that 8 foot chain link fence, in one bound. No joke.

The 2 husky's had Luther pinned in the corner of the yard. I think I kicked the dogs maybe 3 times before I realized my kicks were not hard enough.

I took a couple steps back & tried to kick the dog over the 8 foot fence.

Oh ya, he felt that one.
One dog down, so I went in for the scoop.
Couldn't see fuck all, but I could hear him.
Reached into the chaos, as soon as I had a hold of him, he bit me right square in the knuckle.

Do you know what that sounds like?
Neni knows It sounds just like a real crisp apple getting chomped.

@ that exact same time, one of the dogs got me right behind the ear.
Mostly skull, a little lower & it would have been all meat.

Worst part was getting back over the 8 foot high fence in the pitch black, with a kitten in one hand & 2 dogs trying to eat it.

I don't think he woulda lasted another 30 seconds
He was tiny & they fucked him up bad.

His hips were all fucked up, he couldn't walk. The dogs teeth had separated his ribs & punctured his lungs.

When I picked him up in the days & weeks after, you could hear & feel air bubbles just floatin' around.

He lived, & made it back 100%. I was amazed.

He turned into a monster
Luther, had by far the thickest neck, I've ever seen on a cat.
It blew me away how ripped this thing became.

Only cat I've ever seen that, if you lied down he would always come & curl up right underneath my chin. He actually would give me hugs when I picked him up. Both arms around my neck & rubbing his face on mine.

I'd like another cat, I'm a total cat guy.
What can I say, pussy is attracted to me

Some dude down the street moved to England & left his cat here.
I think some people feed him, but I don't think they let him in the house.

I've kinda adopted him.

Holy crap dude ^^ Good on you for taking on two Huskys to rescue your little dude! Awesome to hear he fully recovered.
I used to not be a cat person at all, but my wife was, and we brought little Conan as a baby kitten, first few weeks I was thinking oh god, this is going to be a pain in the ass. But after causing a little kitten mischief, I ended up loving that dude. He was so awesome, he was really smart too, I could play with him like a dog, play hide and seek, throw ball for him.
Every day when I came home from work he would be waiting at the door for me.
He totally turned me around and I love cats now. They can be so much fun and affectionate and then you see lions and tigers with the same mannerisms, you know they come from a kick ass heritage. Cats are awesome. Cool pics and stories in here, keep em coming.

I went to the zoo once & just happened to have a football with me.

When we got to the cat enclose, basically a big octagon, with different slices of pie for each set of cats.

None of the cats gave 2 shits that there people trying to see them.
Most of the cages you couldn't even tell there were cats in them at all.

Then someone tossed the ball, not even realizing what would happen.
It was fuckin' trippy, every single cats head popped up out of the grass.

Holy fuck, you NEED to bring a football next time you go to the zoo

They were climbing over each other tryin' to get it as we tossed it back & forth along side the fence.

The lions den, had one massive, nasty male.
He was meeeaaan. He wanted to be the only one playing chase the football.
We were causing some harsh carnage

That fuckin' mean ole nasty male, wanted to eat us.
There's no doubt in my mind, we would have both been killed in under 5 seconds.

The cat cage has a separate fence around it, about 6 feet away.
The tension on the fence that held the cats, was incredibly taught.
We couldn't even wiggle it, not one bit.

The male lion, when we held out the football, from our fence to his cage.
Could almost touch the ball. He could push the fence, about 4 feet..

If you ever for some reason come face to face with a big ass male lion, just close your eyes, it'll all be over real quick.

Then we got to the leopard cage.
This was one of the coolest things I've ever got to do.

I could just tell this guy was friendly..
He walked over & started rubbing his face along the cage.
Took a chance & hopped over the people fence.
Instantly he flopped over & started purring.
Wow, you can feel the vibrations through the air, it's sooo basey, it makes your chest vibrate.

He was awesome, I was stickin' my hands through the fence & petting him.
I couldn't get my whole hand through the fence, but he was rolling around up against the fence.

I spent about 3 hours petting this guy.
One day, I will have a big cat.

Unfortunately champ passed about a month and a half ago.

We weren't used to not having an animal in the house... And it was actually rather depressing. So we wound up going on CL and found this little guy who needed a good home. His name is Buster and we got him when he was 10 weeks old. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1406477036.459248.jpg

He is now about 14 weeks and he has tripled in size. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1406477102.261603.jpg he's a trip, absolutely off the walls bonkers.
