Bucket list

What's on your bucket list?

Got vague ideas to shred in Svalbard and Kaukasus. Some day. (Toughest part is to convince the hub with his super Swiss risk-averse attitude against polar bears and russian helicopters ).

More elaboreted is the wish to hike one of the seven summits for my 40th in some years: Elbrus (5642m) rather than Kili cos it can be done by splitboard.

Curious to hear your goals, plans - or dreams.

Edit: Svalbard gets a check . Done in May.

I really thought quicksand was going to be a much bigger issue in my life when I was little

Heli-boarding (too much $$ for me right now)
board a 14er from the summit (did part of one last spring, did a high 13er)
travel to some other ski areas (Utah, Jackson Hole)
Silverton (used to live close to their before there was even a ski area)
get my house improved

Right now there are only 3 big things on my bucket list.

1. Heli drop in Alaska. I want to do some avy training and mellow backcountry this year, and hopefully I can do this after some more experience.
2. Sleep in a portaledge tent. I've been hitting the climbing fairly hard the last year so this might not be too far off.
3. Motorcycle trip along the pacific coast highway. I miss my bike...

Snowboard related:

- Heli-boarding in Alberta/BC (this may happen in February!!!)

- Ride the Currie Headwall in Fernie

Non-snowboarding related:

- Build and drive a 500+ HP car. I'm working on this now... I had a 290 RWHP car that weighed 2600 pounds. My new car will have more power and less weight. The 500 HP mark is a bit of a pipe dream, as 300 RWHP in a 2300 lb car is fun enough... Still, I'd love to say I did!

- Spend a whole winter on a tropical island! I'd like to do this before I'm retirement age...

- Build a proper mountain cabin. Something you have to hike into, and build by hand.
