Default Apple Watch

Did anyone get one, and what do you think...???

The primary reason i ask, is that i know a few people ride with music, and getting your phone out etc to change it can be a pain in the arse...!!!

So with the watch having siri functionality, and the ability to actually control the music using this, would it help...???

I have one, and have had it under coat and gloves, and siri still works while the phone remains in my pocket...

What do people think of the watch generally as well...???

I am into my 3rd day now, and i think the battery (was always gonna be an issue) is actually better than advertised, i used it loads and have yet to get down under 30% even on an 18 hour day...

I can never ride with a watch. My Bluetooth tech chips are all I need for music, in my opinion a much better solution.
Would love to hear what you think of it though, in general. I mean it's one of those things that I could see never actually using except for the time, but for some reason I'm lusting for one nonetheless..

Well, its a toy you don't need, i always wear a watch in the summer, but never have when boarding, but it is comfortable and is not as big as you think it is...

Like i said, you don;t need it, but it is handy, you know not having to get your phone out of your pocket to check everything, you can just glance at notifications and see if you need to read or answer whatever it is, the logging for health is pretty impressive, the heart beat monitor appears to be very accurate, and logs all day, as for walking running all other exercise, that is good as well.

It double as remote for apple tv etc, so that is handy, and obviously for those that use passbook, that is very helpful, walking through the airport with your boarding card on your wrist makes things very easy, one of the 1st things i had to do with it... Haha

What i would say, is that i am glad i only bought the sport, that is a reasonable price, and already, i can say it wears well, having seen some of the stainless models and how they scratch (surface marks) quite easily, it is most definitely not worth the extra money...

The weight is good for a sports watch and the stainless weights about half again, depending on strap choice.

And it does turn by turn navigation straight out of the watch as well, which is cool on bike rides etc, or visiting a town you don't know...

Overall, think it is a good purchase, but everyone will have a different use, and while wearing a watch under gloves was always cumbersome, it didn't cause me any issues, and i like the siri control, i also have the outdoor tech chips, and i like them a lot, but i did find the siri functionality was easier on the watch, even though ODT was easy to use in its own right...

I was at least curious and thought the idea was interesting. I was concerned that my old assed eyes wouldn't work well with something so small. I have trouble with text on my iPhone sometimes. But I was at least interested enough to look it the things,

.and then I gotta load of THE FREAKIN' PRICE!!!

I've always been a Mac guy, so I knew mac stuff aint cheap,.. but Fuck That Shit!! Freakin' things cost more than my iPhone!!!!

I have not worn a watch in probably 10 years. I never really care what time it is when I am not at work, when I am at work I will use the clocks on the walls/computers. If I really have a hot date out of work, I use my cell phones clock.

I am usually intrigued and interested in new tech but never use it personally.

I bought mine in the UK, so got ass rapped AGAIN...!

So feel for us with the price and stop complaining... $515 is what the sport cost me...!!! (Current exchange rate)

It is funny though, cos i had a discussion with a guy the other day, (he runs a care home) and he was looking at a new laptop, and after explaining how things are with a mac, he said the only thing putting him off was the price...!!! Turns out, when he went and actually looked, pound for pound, i.e. exactly the same specs the macbook was cheaper...!!! So he bought 3 for work...!!!

Having looked at all the alternatives, the only thing that i can say really put me off, was having to charge it every night... But on reflection, this actually made no difference, as i took whatever watch i wore off every night anyway...! Can't sleep with it on my wrist... Haha

I am what my g/f would call a nerd...! I get that some tech just is useless, most of the tech i have is like that, but i like tech, and i gave up drinking when i moved here to Norway, so i have to have something, what i will say though, is i have got more into tech that is to do with fitness, like the Withings Scales, i have lost about 5kg using them, and they monitor the air quality as well, so worth the money, i think, my g/f doesn't...

She won't let me have a robot lawn mower either, which really pisses me off, i hate cutting the grass...!!!

the garmin vivosmart, i can't vouch for this thing enough. Trust me, look up a couple reviews and for the functionality your'e looking for its perfect. I love it cause you can see it on sunny blue bird days and late at night, best watch I've found for snowboarding.
