The other day I was on the ski out at sunshine, and there was this skier who would turn into my path every time I tried to pass... I would try to go on the right, he would turn into my path, I go left and he would turn into my path, he kept looking pack to see where I was. I finally got past him by hitting a kicker, and as I did he yells "SLOW DOWN"... So I stopped dead and he wiped out trying to avoid me. I gave him the "ha ha" and went on my merry way.
I acknowledge the jerk move on my part, but the yard sale was worth it. I think some people think that if you go faster than them, you MUST be out of control.

What ticked me off was that I'm pretty sure he was deliberately blocking me to slow me down. On the sunshine ski out to the parking lot, if you are going too slow on a snowboard, you are skating/walking long stretches of it, which sucks.

OK. So, now I'm a peaceful person and practice alot of meditation and relaxation. But...some shit is just unmeditatable (new word). I've been sitting on this story for about a month now, but this is the perfect time to share it.
A couple trips back, earlier in the season I was having an overall shitty day, cut off by skiers a few times, less confident than I am now, and had caught some gnarly toe edges (on a 6"-12" hard packed base!). Me and my dude quadded up with 2 other boarders in line and we were second/third group next to load the lift, skier comes out of nowhere hauls ass to the front of the singles line, as our group begins to move up, I smiled at him and politely say "we're 4". (I'm on the left of the quad and the singles line is on the left of me.) He acts like he does not hear/see me, and skis right over my board, happened so fast, not sure where his poles landed on my board, but his skies went RIGHT OVER my fucking board to jump in the group of 3 that was right in front of us, instead of just waiting. As they start to load, I held on to the back of the chair he was awaiting to tow me up to the load...and jammed the nose of my board right between his skies, then quickly shimmied back and forward to jam them again once more for good measure. He never turned around or budged. He knew what the fuck he had done and he knew exactly why I did what I did. I just refused to eat his shit up with a spoon, decided to throw it right back on his ass. Energy is never destroyed, only transferred, the rest of my day was phenomenal. I believe I successfully transferred all of his negative energy + all of mine, back on him. ![]() Cheers!

Aquaphor is the shit. Aveeno for extra dry skin, and also, Eucerin creme. It's thick, but really good for dry skin. I still have bouts with eczema, that itchy shit is so maddening. It's like the pain from scratching it is a welcome relief cause anything's better than the itch. Also, take some Claritin or Benadryl, it'll help with the itch factor.
