Aren't they going to vote on it again sometime this year? I hope so. It isn't so easy for me to find (I'm not big on the Langstrasse street deals, haha). And this California boy is starting to feel like a fish out of water!

Really? I'm not from Zurich but still... I'm surprised. You seem to know the wrong ppl. You have met "indigenous" ppl yet or just hanging around with an internatinal bunch of ppl from work? There's always someone who knows someone...

I know nothing on a vote this year (which doesn't mean that there won't be one - it's actually not a topic I follow). The topic was never put to rest, it's discussed on and on and it's just a matter of time. However, some cities (e.g. Geneva, Bern, Winterthur) have now own projects on legalization on city level. IIRC you know German? In Winterthur soll Kiffen straffrei werden - News Zürich: Region - tagesanzeiger.ch
Bern: Bern will Hanfkauf befristet legalisieren - News Region: Bern & Region - bernerzeitung.ch

I should mention that if my last post sounds like I think cruisers are lame and all superbikes are great, I need to clarify:

ANY bike can be turned into a loud obnoxious "look at me I'm a 16 year old girl with boobs" type thing... Back in southern Ontario there's a big crowd of supersport owners who buy full leathers to ride to the coffee shop. But there's also a big crowd of cruiser owners who want everything chrome, leather, and LOUD, and they seem to think other people think they're kewal dudes!

I used to be sleeping in my hammock in my backyard on a quiet rural street, when out of nowhere 30 of the retarded things would go flying by and wake me up! Granted, these people were marginally better than the supersport coffee shop crowd, because they were actually riding their bikes, but still.

Usually the factory exhaust on a bike is at least as good if not better at removing spent fuel and air out of your engine (i.e. aftermarket pipes tend to NOT make any more power), so all they do is add to the noise. QUIET THE FUCK DOWN PEOPLE!

As I said, both my previous bikes had factory mufflers, and if/when I buy one again, it's factory mufflers for me! I'll just slap on a couple hard cases for luggage, and hit the road!

Here's what I want: (A Yamaha FZ9)

Evidently I've gotten too good at taking real press releases and changing a few words to make them satirical. Have an actual company owner featured in a faux press release sending me messages asking if it's true.

My hope for humanity has diminished.

lol and here are my friends going around completely removing their exhausts from their down pipes, or at least putting in washers/spacerse between the exhaust and down pipe. Not gonna lie, I'm puttin in work to give my baja the deep boxer growl of an sti I know these aren't bikes, but you should hear em

Cars are a totally different story to me. As long as the SPL out of the bike/car at a certain distance isn't over X dB then I'm all for it! I had an SC400 and swapped the centre section w/resonators, for an X pipe, retained the factory straight through mufflers, and that thing growled!

Here's my idea of what a car should sound like...

I have a Magnaflow on my pickup, and it's quiet (quieter at idle than stock) until you get on it. Crackly loud exhaust isn't cool once you're out of high school. Lol
