Im so so furious. I broke my arm 10 days ago and this is the first day where I can actually read about or watch snowboarding without getting completely depressed.

Two wednesdays ago I skipped class to go shred with my lil bro who was off school. It snowed for two straight days before we left so it was by far the best conditions this year. We went to Chestnut Mt in Galena, IL and it was sick. Much longer runs than I'm used to plus they had by far the best park around here.

After going huge all day on their 40 footer, I end up breaking my arm on a stupid barrel jib that I hit multiple times earlier in the day. It was actually a really cool feature. It was a jump over a barrel suspended sideways that would spin after you tapped it. Well I hit it landed slightly nose heavy on my heel edge and fell on my side. I immediately knew I fucked my shit up. I thought I dislocated my elbow so I unstrapped and walked back up (yes up) the mountain to the ski patrol building. (The lodge is at the top of the Mt so you take your first run before ever riding the lift.)

My bro drove us the 3 hours home and I went to the Dr. the next morning. I ended up braking my arm about 4 inches above my elbow. I have to wear this cast that goes from my palm to my armpit for 4-6 weeks and won't be fully recovered for 2-3 months according to my Dr.

The worst part about this is that I will have to cancel my plans to go shred Utah for a week in March. I was hoping for 40 days of resort riding this year but it looks like I'll be stuck at 21.

Sorry to hear that^

My vent.. SNAKES.

Before you read yeah maybe this was an asshole move on my part but I don't care when it comes to snakes.

Ok I was taking a 3 hit line, it was a drop-in, kicker, larger kicker, step-up in that order. Called my drop as always, and saw out of the corner of my eye a guy passing me on the left about 50 feet before the first kicker. First thought went through my head was (...dick) I didn't deviate from my line though, he must've rolled through the drop in crowd. He was ahead of me for that one or 2 seconds then he speed-checked like a sissy and was about 8 feet in front of me as we got to the lip. I'm so fed up with this bs that I just held my line right behind him. He straight-aired, landed and I did shortly after, next hit he was staying closer in front of me maybe 5 feet, so I launched right behind him again.

Here comes the a-hole move on my part. Coming into the step-up you need to speed check or you'll overshoot the landing. It wasn't a huge hit or anything, maybe 7 or 8 feet tall at the lip, but none of us enjoy landing flat anyways. He speed checked hard, I just did a little scrub. I don't think he realized I was as close behind him as I was until the nose of my board smacked down (yes I overshot it, caught the last little bit of the tranny with my backfoot) right behind his tail.

Moral of the story. If you're gonna snake someone, you better land your shit, because there are those of us who would rather chance landing on you than miss our line and have to wait in the lift lines for the next run.

end rant.

no asshole move IMO. all is fair when snaked, especially when you call your drop.

Now - my vent.

Saturday was the first time I have ever wanted to take off my board and beat the shit out of someone on the mountain! I was riding along on the side of the run, I'm always looking around, not just below, but above as well. I carved my toeside turn and as soon as I turned up the mountain, this sideslipping noob bitch rammed me. I mean she railed RIGHT INTO ME!! She went down on her ass and her board up in the air and smacked me in my chin. I gave her some choice words, then got up and carried on with my run. She never apologized or said anything to me. As I'm approaching the bottom, I see 2 other chicks sideslipping, I avoid them fine. After I made it through the gates, as i'm unstrapping I see the dumb bitch come through and eat it. Next, her friend comes walking...walking through the gates with her board and they say "woot woot" to each other and are high-fiving. Woot woot what? Woot woot i can't fucking ride and i'm not even trying and i don't have any business on this run in shitty visibility and 35 mile winds? I took deep breaths, grounded and reminded myself that I am a peaceful person and walked away. Then I had a dream that I punched her in the face...

Hooray for boobies!!!

Really, if someone wants to yank their wanker on that one, they really need to just buy a dirty magazine...

No doubt, if anyone wanks it to x-ray boob, then they are truly desperate.

Those look surprisingly similiar to my x rays (minus the boob).
This is the second time I broke my humerus. The first time was 4 years ago and I broke it right where it connects to my shoulder. Those x rays looked like a golf ball fell off its tee to or ice cream falling off a cone. Had surgery the first time and got a full arm cast this time. Nothing funny about either one.
