sigh at being an "adult" with few vacation days
i miss college, and winter breaks, and spring breaks, but on the plus side i have income and the worst thing is senior year of college, when i had no classes and was on ski/snowboard club, and was going to go every trip, i fucked up my knee in february but it's so much harder to get out and do things now |

Hey Smokehaus, thanks for your response. Actually, it will go into 1st and reverse while the engine is off, but it's kind of clunky. I didn't try that yesterday but just did now. I think that means something in a diagnostic way??
More venting: Those f*ckers at my shop still haven't called me back. They close at 2pm (in 30 mins). So much for customer loyalty...I bring my vehicle to them for everything, even little things like oil changes, paying more for their service than other places or just doing it myself, so that I can give them whatever business I have. When I spoke with them this am, they said they were swamped because of random people just stopping in due to break-downs and the snow. Wtf. I'm an existing customer and they're taking other people before me, especially when I called them about this yesterday midday. All I am asking is for them to pop off a fluid cap and check the level. Hell, if they don't have the time to fill it, I'll do that. In the meantime, I called one of those quick lube places. They said they would be able to give it a try, as long as I have the fluid. And they're open until 5. But they're not responsible if they break the cap. So, unless the above means I'm totally screwed and it's not a simple matter of adding fluid, I'll get to the auto parts store for fluid and maybe a spare cap if they have one and go from there. The parts store (AutoZone) might even be able to do it on-site. |
