Summer 2016

So...

How's everybody's Summer going?

It's been chilly, hot, chilly, hot and now moderate in New York.

I still can't run due to my left foot injury, but I'm playing golf instead.

Other than going to Toronto in mid September for a friend's wedding,
I have no plan to go anywhere this Summer.

Wondering what everybody else is doing.

Summer? Did you just say summer?!?

It's friggn raining every god damn day since I don't know when!!!! I'm sitting on the porch with my alfter-work beer in a frigging fleece covered in a blanket cos it's so goddamn cold every day! Looking at the rain day after day after day!!! Competitions n trainings get canceled one after the other, our putdoor arena is attracting ducks and untouched by a hoof all month... I'm sooo sick of hacking (pleasure riding), even the horse is bored and choses to go to the arena rather than to the woods, but hey, sorry lad, no exercising today - again - cos the arena is a pool. No hiking, no kiting, no BBQ in the garden, no jolly floating down the river as it's a dangerous stream of mud n trees n roaring water... just rain rain rain, and millions of slugs harvesting my garden.

BTW: sorry for the rant *cuddlesherblanketontheporchandtakesanothersipofbe er*

Been pretty warm here as of late. With bouts of pretty severe thunderstorms every few days. I got thee inches of water in one two hour storm last week. Pretty crazy.

I had a great snowboard season and I put the deck away a little early and pulled out the bike. It's been fun cruising brown pow as of late.

last day of snowboard season sucked (bad snow, willows, sticking skin glue on snowboard base). That was June 5th I think?

Got new MTB bike, rode it 3 times. One of the trail areas around here was severely damaged by erosion from heavy rains and the trails are trashed.

Went on short vacation to Utah, wife fell in slot canyon and broke her ankle.. was able t hike out fortunately..

what else? Hot.. planted some grass. have camping trip coming up, trying to wrangle my family is like herding cats..

trying to not be online so much.

That sucks big time with your wife's broken ankle.
Been somewhat disabled since January myself, I feel more for anybody with permanent or temperately disability.

Would you let us know if you happen to update your phone this Summer?
I think your future new phone even deserves it's on thread.

Update his phone? Pretty sure he is canceling his mobile service and getting a landline with a rotary dial...

Rode Evergreen Mountain last night. Got a late start and barely got it in. Got to the top right at sunset and had to bomb it down to beat the fading light.
