and then there's always that.

my belt smells like menthol from the icy hot patch that was on my lower back.
the car we took looks like it hasn't been washed in 45 years, but it's an '03 audi.
my beanie was frozen to my hair for a few minutes back there.
my aluminum-cased headphones stung to the touch, they were so cold.
and my mind,
oh my mind was melting in exactly the same way that the snow was not.

i wrote this on a napkin after snowboarding a few weeks ago and i felt that this might be an appropriate place to share it.
does anyone have any poetry, art or music that was inspired by the powder?
