Back home! Son and I drive both cars back... it was cool, I didn't go over 65 due to gas mileage in the Wrangler pulling a trailer. But in his VW Golf he'd floor it. I assumed I'd see him about 8 hours later in NM... but ended up that I can go for hours without stopping while he... well, was just like the tortoise and the hare. He did get in about 90 mins before me Sunday morning. He graduated with BS in Studio Art -and- won first place in the Senior Art Show at Univ of Maryland. It is nice when you have a kid studying art to be told by the Dept Chair during the reception when I mentioned to him that this should gave my son confidence in his talent... "we have kids with talent, talent here is a dime a dozen, what your son has we haven't been able to put a name on yet." It's just really good to hear that teaching or managing a McDonalds isn't his only option.

We are headed up to Winter park later this week if anyone wants to meet up!

just spent the last two hours disassembling my old computer desk & getting my comp all set up on the new one. not sure if i like it...not as much shelf space as the last one & it wobbles even as i sit here typing this. and i really don't like where i set it up, so i guess i'm going to spend the next hour disconnecting it all again & switching locations to where the gecko's cage is. geez. i just wanna go snowboarding & try out my new bindings!!!!

speaking of snowboarding, my daughter sizing up her new board...

k, so yeah, guess i should get to disconnecting now...

sweet! i did it the quick, yet not-so-easy way & just unplugged the main power supply & then pulled the entire thing, computer & all, over to the new spot. definitely less work in the long run!

Yeah I have to go back to work...Im off of school though, so thats good. But I have to work short Bull Shit shifts all this week (Like 4 and 5 hour shifts). And I have to drive 30 miles to work. So basically every day this week is ruined and I wont be able to go boarding...Unless I call in.
