Anyone get this email from Backcountry.com? - Snowboarding Forum

I just checked out the email they sent. I had deleted it but it was still in that folder. Pretty funny stuff. I thought nothing of it yesterday. I wonder who called them on it?

That's funny. They do get props for realizing the ill timed email and sending out an apology.

We have had the rainiest april in recorded history. Tornados have hit areas not to far from me (only minor damage from those) we are dealing with flooding (i just spent the last two days pumping water out of my basement) even worse for me..i have not been able to ride my mtn bike or go rock climbing for two weeks now. I should note that i have not experienced a significant loss and no one I know has either, just some misrey i guess. When I saw that email...I smiled and thought yes she does (mother nature hates me) The deal with it statement made me think i should buy a kayak! For me the timing of the email was perfect! No apology necessary!

Jevus thats bad... hope people are alright... thats just awful.

So much earthquakes, tsunamis/floods, tornadoes in the US... Toronto gets off easy :/

Some folks are just ignorant as in your case. Around 200 ppl died and untold injured in our county. The numbers still tally in Tuscaloosa and other counties. Whats next is the ripple effect. Folks with no where to go, lost everything not a thread left. No power, cell towers going down, water having to be transported in, blackouts in surrounding towns and counties. When your town and family are completely obliterated by a F5 let us see who is sensitive. Armchair commentators like you know only what little is in your own imagination and nothing of reality when making these comments.

Probably no internet either, so really there is a great chance of them are going to see that email anyway. Besides, did they have internet in Alabama to start with?

Yeah, I got that too. It was pretty funny in a morally obese way. I wonder if they realized that on their own or if one of the victims emailed them...
Anyways, I posted it on facebook that night and had some comedic responses from people.
