Someone produces a statement which could effectively cost you $4k.
Would you write on the statement to confirm that you have received a copy of it and then sign this acknowledgement? If not, what would you do instead?

Ah! I learned this in business law... I forgot what you sign on the document. The professor gave us a phrase to put on the document for these type of situations...
