Hit a bit farther southeast from me. Pretty much napped through the storm in my area, rain makes me sleepy.

Some language but some footage of some of the destruction.

The season is almost upon us!!!!

Tornadoes destroyed part of Greensburg, IN about 20 minutes from where I live. That night was some pretty creepy weather. Personally, I enjoy it. I'm kind of a weirdo about storms.

When I was a kid, we got hit by a tornado. My dad refused to go to the basement because he wanted to eat his bowl of peaches. I kept trying to go outside and watch the storm. My mom probably thought she was in an episode of the Twilight Zone where she gets killed because she lives with two catastrophically stupid males.

I expected the guy who shot the video to be a lot more concerned that his car got messed up, didn't seem to happen until near the end of the video but then again I can understand he probably still in a bit of shock and the fact he's still alive.

I agree on the record for tornadoes although I'm much less worried with hurricanes since there is much more advanced warnings and any effect from a hurricane is relatively small for me since I live inland. But yeah I agree states like NC and FL are in for a beating if these tornadoes are any indication of the magnitude of the hurricanes to come.

my rabbi talked about this in his friday night sermon, using the video of the storm over the conneticut river as a modern parallel to passing the red sea. it was very moving. again, i hope the best for everyone affected.
