I need a new laptop. Was going to get a mac but can't get my head around the cost. I was thinking this HP. If I get this I can get a new board as well in the Fall!
![]() HP PAVILION DM4-1250CA 14-inch LAPTOP PC | Laptops - English | Ratings & Reviews | TheSource.ca The computer I have now held up pretty good considering the abuse. (At one ponit my dog chewed about ten keys off it!) I am hoping to edit go pro movies with it. Will it be able to play them smoothly? Other than that we just using it for web stuff. Any thoughts/feedback appreciated.

Looks good, It comes with 4G of Ram, but it says it's upgradeable to 8G which is a major plus (many lower end laptops cannot be upgraded).
Only things I would say are minus' with the unit, is the screen size being 14" and the fact that it has an on-board video card. In my experience, most on-board video cards suck, and they also cannot be replaced. With very vague internet searching on that video card (Intel HD Graphics) it looks like it should be able to handle anything you throw at it though. Clarkdale?s Second Half: Intel HD Graphics Review.
