Anyone else watch the hockey tonight? Fuck what a shit game. I guess I'm a flames fan but hey the Canadians wanted the win so badly so it was disappointing to watch the game in Banff tonight and see the Canucks get raped. Props to Boston though. Clearly the better team!

The couple Bruins season ticket holders that I work with are no where to be found today...hmmm, I wonder why. Gotta love hockey professionalism, those guys shake hands and congratulate each other knowing full well that when they meet in the regular season next year punches will be flying.

Canadians really do get worked up over their hockey though don't they? I read an article last year where some Americans watching the Olympic Hockey tournament at a Canadian near Alaska border town. I guess they were fairly rowdy during the first American-Canada game. The locals let them know that during the finals their lives could very well be in danger if Canada lost. Really? It's not a sport if you freak out like that.

Greece is going through a huge quality of life change. Riots in the streets, people getting injured. The populace is fighting to keep what the government has promised them all their lives and has now robbed them of it.

Vancouver has riots in the streets, people getting injured because their hockey team didn't win the Stanley Cup.

Stay classy Vancouver...

All the Canadians I've ever met are the nicest most chilled-out people in the world. But they're absolutely psycho right now. What are they thinking? Their team lost a game and so they destroy their own city?

When the Colts lost the superbowl to the Saints I was upset about it, but I didn't set my neighbor's car on fire.

The rioting is caused by a fairly small group of assholes -- basically a rent-a-mob. They go to these things with the specific planned intention of rioting afterwards. And once it starts...

I'm a little amazed that the cops weren't more prepared though. The "riots after the game" has been a regular topic of conversation for the last couple of days. Can't believe anyone would have been taken by surprise by them. Also wonder why the stores didn't do more to prep, like boarding up their windows or taking the good shit out of the windows. This is not rocket science.

Donutz you are spot on. This same shit went down in Melbourne a few years back when they had the G20 summit. Loads of people being mostly well behaved. Once a few dickheads start something then loads more join in.
