Video editing free-ware???

Hi gang,

I don't do video editing but I would like to splice some simple video's together and maybe add text.

Can you recommend a safe, easy, KISS type editing software for simple vimeo or youtube web type videos. Running windows XP if that matters.

Thanks

on the same note, dose anyone have a good torrent with useable codes for a windows compatible software comparable to Final Cut Pro. I am pretty fluent in final cut so going to anything that is low enough quality that it is free would make me mad. I put together an edit of my dirtbike footage with windows movie maker, i about commited suicide.

Thanks simon, worked great. Shortened the clip and added text. Perfect, if I get better I'll add sound track later but that was perfect.
