Next Big Earthquake - 9/27 - Snowboarding Forum

The other earthequake thread on here made me think of this....

I work with a guy that is super smart and spends his free time researching stuff typical people would only do for work or homework. Anyway, he learned about some crazy crap that coincides with the last 3 big earthquakes (Chile, Christchurch, NZ, and Japan). The same day this certain asteroid lined up with with the sun and earth were the exact same days as those earthquakes.

Next time the asteroid is going to line up? September 27th. If it happens, you heard it here first. If it doesn't happen, my coworker totally wasted his time over the weekend

Uhhh...no foil hat. This day and age you can just use twitter acounts to make contact with extraterrestials.

ahhh...clearly I am out of my league here.

Still, no foil hat. I think he uses the excessive amout of hair product for that.

But when there's a big earthquake on 9/27, he'll be the one laughing.....

Don't know anything about this guy, but as a general rule this is how frauds and quacks use chance to their advantage. Earthquakes happen almost every day somewhere on Earth. Just redefine "big" to include whatever happens on 9/27 and viola! You're a swami!

Okay, back to being serious....obviously he, or I, won't be laughing.

I'm actually interested in seeing if it actually happens. It's either a crazy coincidence that all three earthquakes happened when the asteroid is lined up, or there is something to it. I don't pretend to understand any of this stuff, but I could see the gravitational pull of all three objects having some sort of effect on the plates in the earth's crust. Who knows?

ha, ha, totally true, but this guy isn't trying to make any big claim or anything, I just thought it was interesting. After seeing the earthquake thread in this section it just made me think of it so I posted it here.

This guy is just a "normal dude" that is smart and kind of nerdy so he spends his time reaserching and analyzing things that interest him like tax revenue and space....I don't know

2 of the 3 earthquakes were historically big (Chile and Japan) and the one in NZ was pretty big as well. So it's either a crazy coincidence or there is something to it.
