salt n pepper grits, cheese grits, cheese n bacon grits, granola, honey bunches of oats, cinnamon toast crunch
and my specialty, chinese hangover porridge:
1 big soup pot about 1/4 - 1/3 full of leftover cooked rice
fill mostly full of water get it cooking
add directly to soup:
-a bunch of cut up raw boneless chicken thigh meat - i go heavy, big chunks, poor man works too, cheap meat anyway
-a sprig of fresh ginger, peeled and cut into dime sized pieces - again i go heavy here, tons of flavor in the ginger, both the aromatic and the gastronomic qualities of the ginger are the secret here
-alot of pepper
porridge is done when the rice has fully expanded - about half an hour (i usually do an hour of good simmerin, u can tell when it gets ready, the rice and water become one sorta) depending if u wanna let it simmer slow or fire it up and get it done
not just for hangovers but a pretty rockin carb/protein rib stickin winter meal too.
you can use brown rice and breast meat if you hate flavor and hope to be totally disappointed.
