Do you understand how those work? Every other piece is so common that everyone has them. There is only a couple of those "winning" pieces in the entire world. Those ones are worth what the prize is, while the other ones are worthless. Unless you get those specific pieces you didn't win.

And the people who do get those pieces probably don't play the game and throw them away.

Last year my fiancé was super obsessed with this game, he actually ended up winning money. I really would've never thought he'd get somewhere with it haha.
One day we were in some parking lot from a store and he saw a dirty, wet, run over mcdonald's cup and was actually tempted to go grab it for the monopoly pieces, but he saw colleagues across the lot. Instead he literally BEGGED me to go grab them, and I actually did just to make him happy.
