Soo.....I'm in second year college. I lived in residence for first year of college, this year decided to rent a house with some buddies, ended up most of them backed out and had other places to live lined up, me and my one buddy were still stuck. So we signed 12 month leases going from Sept-Sept.... I thought I knew the kid pretty well. Turns out I fucking hate the kid. He has the biggest ego ever and thinks everything he touches and shit should turn to gold. I'm stuck living with this guy and 2 other strangers for the next 5 months! HELP!
no seriously, anybody got any ideas on how to get around this?! haha or suggestions...lol im drowning here! Last edited by notter123; 11-22-2011 at 03:40 PM. |

When he's sleeping, open his door. Then walk up to him really quiet, take his pillow. Hold it above his head and then when he least expects it.....wake him up and talk it over. I'm sure he'll understand. Or kill him in his sleep, whichever.

I know how you feel. My one roommate snapped on me for taking the shade off of her lamp to cook food in the kitchen when we were waiting for our landlords to fix the lights. She flipped and said I'm going to end up losing the cap and she drops the thing and it rolls away yet I have it set in a specific spot so it doesn't get lost *facepalm*

Definitely have a talk about the issues you have, better to do it over a few beers. Go into it realizing that it might not change much, and if you want things to change I would really consider what's annoying and what drives you nuts about him. It'll be easier to make small changes than bigger ones, especially if it's who they are as a person.
I lived with a couple of close friends for a year and by the end of it, my one buddy completely drove me nuts with his lack of doing anything around the house. And I mean anything. It got to a point that I didn't talk to him for a few months after we all moved it, but thankfully we're still great friends and moved on from it. Seeing how he keeps his house now and is happy living like that, it makes sense to me. And although he didn't clean up to much after we talked about things, he still did enough to not drive me and the other guy crazy...and when you're living together, that's ok.

Ahhh Mpd, always a pleasure!!
I just got busy doing other things over the off-season and this place usually slows down. I've had some interesting "challenges" career wise so I haven't had as much time to wile away on here as I did in the past, plus I always go through phases of caring/not caring about Politics. Just today I was thinking what all you peeps were up to and thought I'd stop by, it has definitely been awhile. Would have posted in the Political forum but notice that you need a password to access it, so I sent Sno a PM to get one. I look forward to your interesting view on reality.
