Default Last movie that surprised you?

Either in a good way or a bad way.

I watched "Super 8" the other day on VOD (I've been home sick all week) and it was way better than I expected. I expected a stock creature-feature but this one had a sort of Cloverfield feel to it (except with a better ending).

If you like that kind of movie, this is the kind of movie you'll like.

I saw this movie, and i was very disapointed. However one that surprised me was "Parnormal Activities 3" was legitimately scary. Matter of fact i almost shit myself. However i get scared easy so maybe not as scary for others.

The Warrior's Way, Gundown, and Captain America. The first two are far from main stream, but soooo entertaining, and the third was jsut waaay better than anything I expected. If you have Netflix streaming, you can watch the first two.
Oh yeah!? Well, my mom says I'm cool!

Saw at film fest a couple years back, recommended to a friend as well. He went next day, said someone in audience actually vomited from fright

It was advertised that people had literally shat there pants watching it

I guess that was a fairly surprising film.

movies that have blown me away recently are some hardcore korean vengeance flicks. these movies are NOT for the faint of heart.

there is a trilogy called the vengeance trilogy, but they are 3 unrelated stories, of which "OLD BOY" is my favorite.

also saw another movie in this genre recently that was exceptionally brutal: "I SAW THE DEVIL"

netflix has em if your brain can handle it

Super 8 owes me 2 hours of my life back. Stock plot, stock characters, no surprises, etc. etc. I still believe the 80's made the best movies on earth. Will say Captain America was actually pretty solid. Ahh Zombies was funny as well. Lately I've been watching stuff from NZ and Australia land.

i just saw The Immortals the other day and omgggg it was insane. Never a dull moment in it. If ur a fan of 300, Troy, and Clash of the Titans then this movie was equally as good if not better.

Im also waiting on Act of Valor. Saw the trailer to it and it looks like its going to be really good. I love war movies and movies about snipers and what not so i will def enjoy that
