When you are at the bar, what do you like to drink? (I made this thread in another forum and found lots of good stuff to try)...
I know it's wrong (on so many levels) to mix fruit with whiskey, but I saw this on their site last year around Thanksgiving and been drinking it since: ![]() I also enjoy the latest hard cider from Samuel Adam's sister company Angry Orchard: ![]() And there are many beers I enjoy too. When I just want something fast, cheap, and light, I usually go for a Bud Light. So... Name your poison.

I like Crown a lot, if I'm chilling at home or whatever I drink it neat on the rock's, if I'm going out Crown and red bull. I like to do shots of bourbon too, Makers Mark is my favorite, I like the Jim Beam black label also. I like scotch on the rocks, Walker black, Chivas. Last summer my liqueur store got a great deal on some single malt 12 y/o scotch that was awesome, and around 20 bucks a quart, can't remember the name of it now...and they can't get any more. Lady that owns the store told me she got 3 cases of it and I drank most of it
![]() I used to be a big time beer drinker, but lately I've been drinking the Mikes Hard Mango Punch, goooood SHIT mang!! We have a killer brewery here in town Empyrean Brewing Co. - Craft Beer from Lincoln, Nebraska that does some kick ass seasonals, right now I am having a Burning sky, Scottish style ale. The fallen Angel is pretty damn good too. |

i really enjoy high quality whiskey, rum, and tequila. i like cognac and brandy but i feel they leave my mouth a little dry. and being asian, warm sake, soju, and my mom's rice wine (i don't know how she makes it) are all pretty awesome. whiskey is my overall number one choice but i'm still learning as much about it as i can about it (open to suggestions).
jameson and cranberry juice with a lime...i'll have to keep that in mind. to be honest though i hate adding additional flavors to my drinks, especially if it's high quality liquor. i almost had to slap the shit out of a good friend once because he mixed johnny walker blue label with coke. i like to enjoy the taste of the liquor itself, and unfortunately a lot of people feel differently, to which i say, IF YOU DON'T LIKE HOW IT TASTES WHY ARE YOU DRINKING? plus, it just adds needless calories that i could do without . on the downside, since i stick with higher-priced liquors my tabs run high sometimes...on the subject of irish whiskey i'm gonna recommend bushmills. it's got such a sweet and mellow taste that i can't even describe. i have the dreaded "glow" but for some reason it's only from beer, so i stay away from that. but i tried two a couple of years ago that i liked from dogfish head and i think dragonstout (the one where they add some scotch in there). |

VODKA AND WATER
I don't normally shout, but this has been my drink of choice for years. Good vodka (I like Finlandia or Grey Goose among others), ice, and top it up with water and a lime. No sugar to give you a sugar handover/headache, not acidic like screwdrivers or vodka and cran, just vodka goodness. Other than that, Niagara has some great wines, I like Rieslings and Gewurtztraminers from Ridge Road. Tequila is nice on occasion... For beer I like Alexander Keiths or MGD for a mainstream beer, Mill St. Stock Ale for a nice brew from Toronto, and there's a pub chain in Alberta and Saskatchewan called brewsters that has some great in house raspberry and blueberry beers. |
