Tacoma Takeover In Moab Utah 2012
Whats up guys! Out of school (it was one hectic 2nd semester) and back from vacation. Now that its back into summer I have some free time and I can get back on here more! For right now, here is a short pic thread from my epic trip to moab utah.

About 2 weeks ago Aleks and I went down to MOAB Utah for 4 days for a big Tacoma meet. There were about 30 trucks this year (about 50+ people), from all over the west (washington, idaho, oregon, whyoming, california, arizona, new mexico, nevada, colodado, even a couple of guys from canada) It was possibly the best week of my life, we just had an amazing time meeting nothing but great people, wheeling with them and drinking with them. Can't wait until next year!

First day, 7 Mile Rim (our little crew, the guys from the northwest)

Tippy dome, steep and off camber, quite scary

My buddy went through this crack, and the wheel jerk hard and threw his hand into the A pillar and broke 2 bones. This is the exact moment it happened too, you can see him slumped over after the initial brake. After getting out of the crack he blacked out for a little bit too.

Our trail made splint to get monte off the trail. He went into town and got a temp cast so he could wheel the rest of the trip, then get it casted when he went home.

I get stuck on this sand berm and adam gets to use his new winch

probably the hardest obstacle we did all week, I would not have even attempted it without some expert spotters

adam gets hung up on the cross member

the turn around, we didn't want to be out on an unfamiliar trail past dark

Night wheeling, hell ya

On the way back from the night wheeling I was third in the line of trucks heading back to camp down the gravel road, and i come over the top of a hill to find my buddy monte slid out on, over corrected and put his front passenger tire in a ditch and rolled his truck 1 1/2 times. Him and his girlfriend were totally fine, no injuries. The roof rack he build a week earlier probably saved them from being crushed when it took all the weight of the roll over.

we flipped the truck back over, it fired up first click and he drove it back down to camp. He then fixed it in a day and drove it back 14 hours to whyoming. Currently he is in the process of swapping on a new cab and bed.

Day 4: Kane creek

Trail Head

Airing down

It took a lot more work getting the DCLB trail limos through, especially this one without any sliders.

It took almost an hour to get him through because he couldn't touch any body panels and just plow through it like the rest of us could without any disregard for what we hit.

running through this creek wash was a blast, still waiting on the guy behind me with the go pro to make the vid

going up this wash on the side of this cliff was the scariest thing I did all week. The easiest line we all had to take was as far left as you could go, at one point your tire basically has to be inches from the side of the cliff

the wash is on the far left side

this is the point where my tires are almost off the side of the cliff and the spotter (blocked by my truck standing on a rock over the side of the drop by the drivers side window) just kept saying come further and further out before cutting back to go up the ledge.

everyone makes it through without dying, and of course mike parks in the most complicated spot

continuing on
