yeah and if your looking on twitter so many people are clamoring that its gun controls fault. Totally disregarding the american way of life and the vicious life style we have. Obviously the person commiting the crime had some type of mental issue to have felt this was his only option. Simply implying that he was crazy is dismissive and does not adress the issue properly. Growing up in arizona I can tell you ive been around guns and learned to respect them when I was about 6 years old. Being that this guy was from SO cal and a recent drop out of med school I cant see him ever having shot a gun as he took in 4 guns had multiple clips for his Assualt Rifle. While its sad to say that he killed 12 people and in part it is a blessing. I think its points out he obviously has a lack of farmiliarity with guns as someone with expirience would have done more.
He did know how to make a bomb and whats to say if he didnt have a gun he wouldnt have trapped the theatre and possibly done more harm like he planned to at his apartment? personally I dont own a gun because I dont need to but to say nobody should be aloud to carry a gun is not adressing the issue IMO. Here in az you dont need a permit to conceal a weapon and while jared laughner was a tradgedy in tucson Id like to think people in arizona are farmiliar with guns so natually they respect them more. Just my 2 cents Thoughts and blessing go out to everyone affected by this horrible tradgedy. hopefully as a society and nation we can learn to look for solutions rather then finding people blame. This just spawns dislike and hate which makes us no different.

My niece lives there and was watching the same movie only in a different theater, thank god.
I just can't understand what makes people go bat shit crazy like this. Prayers go out to all the victims and familes.

Dunno if it made the news in the US, but one of the people who was killed in the theatre was a Canadian who had been in the Toronto shooting a couple of weeks ago and had barely avoided being killed there.
This one makes you wonder if "Final Destination" is a documentary.

The guy was formally charged today with "two dozen counts of first-degree murder and more than 100 other violent offenses"
Accused Colorado movie theater gunman charged with multiple counts of murder | The Lookout - Yahoo! News I normally don't say things like this, but I really hope this guy gets the death penalty. |

One of the places where I swing right is I think the death penalty is completely reasonable in some circumstances. You shouldn't apply it "casually", but in this case I don't think you'd have any problem finding volunteers to push the button.
