Olympic Opening Ceremonies
Kudos to the UK for hitting it out of the park! The opening ceremonies were extremely creative and unexpected, especially the final torch run and it's lighting. It didn't hurt that my all time favorite band, Pink Floyd, was on the PA system as the torch was being lighted. Congrats to all you Brits on the forum here. May the rest of the Olympics go as well as the opening.
Only nitpick, I'd like to have seen the Floyd on stage. Beatles, meh. Pink Floyd   .

That shit was like watching a late term abortion being aired live. When my wife first switched over to it, I didn't know if it was the opening ceremony or a bad Monty Python skit. That shit was awful.

I was working the whole time but I happened to look up and lo-and-behold its the guy at the front of the Palestinian delegation looking like he had a fucking grenade up his ass.
 Fuckssake Abdul enjoy 5 minutes of your life not being threatened and try to smile! Listening to everyone hem and haw over giving the Israelis a moment of silence the last week was interesting.

I liked the opening video following the Thames down. The opening show was interesting but as my wife commented, it felt like they were trying to shoehorn absolutely everything in there and it kind of dragged. I liked the flying rings coming together.
