What is the consistency of their fur like? I took care of a rottweiler/lab mix for a couple years and her fur was awful. Not only was there tons of it, she would get that matted underfur layer and it would just soak up dirt like a sponge. she was like a greasy Italian She was 85% rott for sure, labs don't have that gross fur.
I would compare the fur to dust bunnies, even after almost a year of giving away my husky, these dust bunnies of fur are all under the couch, entertainment center, carpet, etc. it clings almost like velcro or something so its very important to brush often.

Also it starts to look like their fur has layers, kinda like in my last pic you can see it around his neck

Lmao ya and that would be the softest pillow ever! At first I wanted a grey and white husky with blue eyes. I drove an hour and a half to the breeder that was one of the nerist akc husky breeders to me. Most of his haratige was brow eyed. The one blue eyed male in the litter sold right away and they all had lighter coats with some red in them. I love his tri color and how light he is now tho and his brown eyes. He had a bit more red in him when he was a puppy but it lightened up since then.

It's just a lot of fur. The sub-coat is so dense with fur it's crazy. When they shed it comes out in balls that you and see and pick out (it's actually kind of addicting pulling them out haha!)
They are sooo soft tho. Most of my family have labs and it's so much softer, but the husks shed worse. My cousin brushes his lab once a week and it will keep it from getting all over the house. A husky you need to brush daily to just keep it minimal in the house.
