Yes. Get advice from a real doctor, and not the DIY medical quacks that hang out on here!

The doctor didn't order the brace for you? thats weird they usually do that or at least tell were to buy one.
Well either way here you go, thats the one my cousin wears. It's not cheap, but the thing works The Sully shoulder stabilizer shoulder support. Good luck with your injury. |

hooligan that's a nice brace.
Funny thing that happened to me..I dislocated my shoulder at the gym about 4 years ago and the first time I went snowboarding this season, I wiped out, then reached behind me to get my goggles and my should popped out! Luckily it popped right back in but that shit scared me. |

Yeah, Ive had the same injury going on for about three years now. Since the first incredibly painful time my arm dislocated from my shoulder socket, it has happened probably around 12 or 13 times since, once when I first started snowboarding and hadn't learned to keep hands tucked in while falling at 25mph. I have found that it happens less when I stretch really well before activity. And I have been trying to change my sleeping habit too becuase I like to raise the arm on whatever side of my body im sleeping on over my head, and lay my head on my forearm. This is probably what dispositioned me to this injury, but surgery is a little too drastic, and the brace is not for me, so a good stretch before and after goes a long way!
