This thread has been done a zillion time, but since it's the end of the season, and we have lots of new members, it's time to bring it back from the dead (again). That said, what ya'll do in the off season when your not riding?
As for me, I like b/s 180's, handrails, shortstop, and getting wrecked playing 6-man. And of course, hitting up the local punk shows.

Up until I got into snowboarding, cycling was my main thing. Now I think of it as a way to stay in shape for snowboarding. Last year I got a real road bike (Cannondale CAAD 9), joined a team, and did a couple of races (one at Suzuka Circuit).
![]() If I'm lucky, I might get a psytrance DJing gig or two. ![]() ![]() ...and last week I picked up a $5 skateboard. It was supposed to be $30, but they made a mistake at the register. Hopefully I won't get myself killed... I always SUCKED at skateboarding !

Hooligan, Those are Collared Peccaries, also called Javelinas. That photo is from a hunt in Texas last year. And yes, they are a little "gamey".
And btw, Dave is the man! My wife and I got that poster last year when we saw he and Tim Reynolds play at Radio City Music Hall. We're both die hard DMB fanatics. We've got tickets to 4 shows this summer. Just landed reserved tickets in Row 13 for one of them this morning, in fact. Boyd is the reason I got into playing the violin, which I guess you can chalk up as another interest...trying my damndest to learn and keep up with Boyd's fiddle solos. If nothing else, I certainly mow through strings and horsehair. My luthier keeps asking, "What the hell are you doing to this violin?!" I take that as a good sign. ![]() Junglecat, My old neighbor had one of those downhill suspension bikes. It felt utterly weird when I tried it out on flat land, almost tough to make it even "go". But he assured me that cushiony ride is exactly what you want for careening down mountainsides. He used head out for the weekend with a full armament of helmet, shoulder, chest, knee, shin, butt, and elbow pads, so I don't doubt it. |

It's all about the tech-heavy full-on sets!

Ahh, luckily enough my winter is just about to get started
. But in the off-season I board lots; Freebord, skate, surf, wakeboard. Go to lots of gigs/raves, so much more respect for DJing now that i've tried it myself. And do a bit of photography. AAA those bows look amazing! How long does it take you to make something like that?
