Check out the freebording thread, when a longboard can do half the stuff a freebord can, I'll think about buying one.

Freeboards are kind of silly though...especially if you live somewhere flat, like Edmonton. Longboards also offer up much more versatility in terms of what you can do with it...You can downhill, slalom, slide...but what can a Freeboard do other than commute?

im sensing an idea for metro nyc folk who longboard.. we should meet up in central park and have a session

Do it. There are Friday night RIPS hosted by Earthwing somewhere in New York.

I've been flying dual lines kites for 10 years, I was the Italian STACK ( Sport Team and Competitive Kiting)Director for 5 years and partecipated at the EuroCup 2 and 4 lines..as a single and in team (4 kites) I have about 12 kites left of my collection, some of them, quite big Deltas.
I need a powerkite.
and then of course a land board. Wait, make it a kite surf..
Damn more gear...

-------------------Litte longboard sesh at lunch break, the top of the company's garege is pretty sweet..
