I use Azureus, I have used I think a couple of 5 different clients. But azureus is by far the best of them. It works great together with the HTTP-tunnel so I can sneak to the firewall at work, gnagna.

i use transmission (mac), but our house has a dedicated torrent server running with utorrent. their web interface is pretty slick. for sites i use piratebay, isohunt, and indietorrents.

i used to love azureus until they added all that goofy media library bullshit into the software. it was great when it was just a nice, robust bittorrent client that was built on java without any stupid frills. i've since switched to utorrent, and now i'm much happier.

utorrent and demonoid
also, packetnews and irc

torrents basically allow you to dl whatever you want off other people, which can be real good or bad, depending on what you're downloading. can be much riskier to download (i got sniped by FOX for downloading a movie, part of which they hosted). The better the site you're getting your torrents from, the lower the risk i believe, but could be wrong.
