It doesn't matter if ur high, it matters if thc is detected....there is no mental status or sobriety test to determine to a legal standard..."highness", its a biologic or physiologic assay that you are prosecuted with....its really not if you are high or not, though if you are acting "high" it will give them "reasonable cause to stop you, do an investigation and determine if you are high...by doing an in mouth or serum assay. Perhaps I'm jaded, but now they can perhaps impound your car, fine you up your ass, loose a professional license, and perhaps confiscate your property and wages.

Funny story, out partying with some buds, driving around. Get pulled over...don't remember for what...probably for being longhairs. PD make us empty our pockets, bags, pipe, joints and a couple of sugar cubes (that get unwrapped) out on the hood of the cruiser. So PD is standing around discussing what to do and one of the buds grabs the cubes and eats them. PD trys to make him spit them out...gone. So they haul all of us to jail, we go to general holding and the guy who ate the cubes goes to isolation/observation holding tank. Well the guy in the isolation sits there, is quiet, looks around and hangs. About 2 hours later, since none of us have been a problem or acting weird...they cut all of us loose. We all get a $100 ticket, call a friend to come pick us up. And the guy that ate the cubes is tripping his balls off and just smiling as we left booking.I'm not advocating either side...just pointing out it is potentially a very bad law for folks who partake. Also "reasonable cause" is a joke and is almost never argued at hearing...I think reasonable cause and due process ought to be but us poor bastards don't have the cash for a good attorney...and I can only imagine that an attorney would not try to win a case on the lack of "reasonable cause"

just curious how they determined you were smokin'? I was pulled over for speeding in CA and my car smelled very strongly like weed. I was asked to get out of the vehicle and do a field sobriety test. I passed with flying colors and was let go. Well, minus the $600 speeding ticket ![]() Now, I admit to nothing...but I have a feeling I would have failed any sort of blood/urine test at that point in time. So Im curiuous what's being done in other states..oh and wrathful, that's an awesome story....sugar cubes lol and in other 'the war on drugs is fucking lame' the nations first drug law was based on racism. Opium outlawed in 1875 to keep chinese people out of san francisco! http://www.naabt.org/laws.cfm

Don't use it myself, but overall I think usage will go down. it doesnt have the 'forbidden fruit' element anymore. But, I'm in Wisconsin, so it will take forever to even make a bill for this. I dont like to be one to judge but, around here it is basically the rednecks of the north. They still think women shouldn't vote around here.

Last day of Prohibition here. Going to work at 11pm and heading to Stevens Pass tomorrow to ride and smoke herbs legally. Hope every one else can do the same in the near future!
