Just to prove I'm not full of shit... It wasn't bad at all, althought it was a little tracked in places and heavier powder than I usually like... But when I can complain a bit about a day like yesterday, it means I'm snowboarding in the powder capital of North America!!!

Responding to original question:
I think there is a certain proportion of the members who don't want to hold onto the females - this is their 'boys own adventure' fantasy where they can be some super cool double black mogul hero, safely anonymous behind a computer screen. So they are basically a$$holes to anyone who asks simple questions or acts 'like a girl'.
I browse frequently in the season to get great tips on improvement (thanks Snowolf!) and when I am about to buy something new. I do like it when other females ask for advice as I generally have the same problems. The majority of members are great, but there are some threads which probably should have been shut down early (the more you indulge dickheads the louder they become).

I don't really see that much around here. Sure there is a pissing contest here and there, but it's usually not in the advice or review sections. And yeah, there have been some, brand fan boy crap, one getting offended over another's opinion on gear...whatever. It's not near as much of a "boys club" macho environment as other sports forums I've been on.

I have noticed a lot more females since this thread popped up though, at least it seams like it.

Yeah, I've noticed that too. I think a small part of that seems to be the number of members who have been around a while that many of us "assumed" were Dudes?

I know I've been surprised by some of the members I thought were guys! Not to mention that with the internet in general,.. it's often a bit more prudent that females refrain from announcing that they are Female! (...I never would have started CyberStalking Mixie if I thought she was a He!!)

I would not say it is an all boys club....maybe more like a frat house. Girls are always welcome, but not always understood. Also, the girls who will enjoy this board are the ones who can ignore some of the complete jackassery (or even join in), who are not easily offended, and who can tolerate potty humor. I think when someone ribs on another member for "acting like a girl" it is USUALLY because they think they are talking to guy. Guys say that kind of crap to each other.

There are a few guys here that seriously go above and beyond the level of asshole on some posts. But I dont think it is ever meant to alienate or drive away us girls. Burtonavenger has made a few posts that I am sure would bother a lot of women, luckily I am not easily offended and can usually laugh about it.

At least for me, it's not that I want people to think I'm a dude (and I've never had a problem with anyone acting truly weird online because I'm female), it's just that it doesn't occur to me that I need to make any kind of announcement. It's not like it's any big deal to me that I'm female (you've pretty much got to be one or the other), and for most general conversation I don't figure it really matters much.
