She thinks this is an old geezer site and does not want to be associated dear old dad. As for salons and dresses/heels...she likes it but skiing, boarding and dh are the priority. She has gotten shit from her gfs for not going to proms and such cause she'd rather be hanging with the boys and ripping around. I know some girls are darn jealous for that ability to hang with the boys; even 3-4 old bf's still come to the house and they hang out with their new gf or her current bf... baking cookies, making dinners and sewing up tall hoodies, neck gaiters and working on bikes and skis. Its pretty funny...she calls them her boys and just tells them what to do....she's kind of a mother hen that way. As a parent, I think it works well and think its pretty healthy way to socialize as a group.

And yeah...many women are jealous of that ability to be cool with the guys. I've lost female friends because they couldn't get past it. Eh, they always have pinterest. ha.Tundra Wookie! Thanks! I admit I was pretty wasted after reading poutanen's post that I forgot that one.. |

maybe the other ladies here don't have long stretches of complete boredom at work between putting out fires....
I think that is mostly why I read/post here...... I am just sitting at work waiting for shit to break

You know, forgot to add drinking when he requests pics of female members or pics if someone is asking questions on the for my wife or gf posts. And I thought all you did was places tapes in front of people and run to the liquor store ![]() I'm surprised there aren't more female members, but it does seem like there have been more posting lately. I mostly read the forum and am not as active as a poster, but I usually see ladies chiming in when there's a thread on female topics (boards, outerwear, etc). Not many jump in on the shit talk like Mixie. I think half the people I've ridden with during my 3 seasons have been female. So they're out there, but not on (or not regular posters on) the forum. |

Back to Original Topic.
I would post on here more if I had something relevant to say but being a newb, only 5 days under my belt, it's not like I can contribute to much. And I'm doing great riding so I just read the advice but I have no reason to comment I guess. |

I've been members of forums for about 15 years now, since I got my first car, I've attended more meets than I can count, met some great people, had a blast in the process, and yes had several internet debates/scuffles which I think help your debating skills. I've met girlfriends through forum friends (no, not my current girlfriend, this was back in my sportbike days), had job offers, etc. all from just talking on this internets thingy here... So I guess my advice is: don't be afraid to post! Noobs can provide just as much valuable info to other noobs as the veterans can. Why? Because I don't remember what it was like to learn. I was 11 years old... Somebody who is just learning, or who has learned in the last couple years as an adult (like my current GF) can sometime do way better to help a new rider than the old guys can. Plus there's a lot of off-topic stuff so you don't always have to be talking about snowboarding. BTW, if you're still counting that's 3 shots! Oh, and I'll need pictures... |
