Actually, he's properly informed. The key phrase there was "non active", which is an RFID tag that doesn't have its own power source. Like the posts you walk through on the way out of the store with your stolen merchandise, the passive tag simply responds to passing through a magnetic field. And unless you're talking MRI-strong, the store post widths are about the best you can do.

Oh woops. completely over looked the non active part so yeah my fault. But from my understanding, this chip allows the school to know at all times the locations of the students, so I'm assuming that would require active or semi active, which do have range ability. It's an assumption either way though so who knows

i might have actually had to go to class it they had these. But still my school was blanketed with cameras so really whats the difference. Whats the point there useless kids will still be doing dumb shit. If you never get into trouble how are suppose to learn from them.
