In the Irish language Schmitticks and Smith-icks are the same thing.

im not some sorta beer snob but i just have to go on a little rant about this. i especially notice this in my hometown of new york city. people like to pretend they're more high class by drinking imported beers, but their idea of an import is corona and heineken. imo, coronas and heineys suck.

the guys that still dont know what theyre talkin about but wanna one-up these people drink stella, which sucks just as much, except it costs even more. since when did stella become a "classy" drink anyways? isnt it the equivilant of budlight overseas? i mean, if you like it, whatever floats your boat, but i love watching idiots drink stella and pretending theyre enjoying that garbage

my personal favorites
any decent heff
blue moon
most varieties of sam adams
sierra nevada
bass
guinness
newcastle

Moosedrool from Big Sky Brewery is a great all purpose beer.

Best beer I think I ever had was from Snowshoe Brewery in Arnold, CA. Thier Oatmeal Stout was epic.

stella is classy? fuck, who knew!

i dont drink fancy beers to look cool, especially when i usually drink at home and rarely ever go to a bar. i drink what i like. i will try any beer but refuse to sit and drink something i dont like to look cool.

Haha welcome to ashburn. Stella is on tap all over the place around here. While it's certainly better than coors/miller/bud, it's not great. I had a "discussion" with a guy at a bar last week who was telling someone else to drink a real beer as he held up his stella. When I told him stella was english for miller lite, he got all angry and said I didn't know what I was talking about because he'd been to england and everyone drinks stella. I simply responded that if he wanted to look cool by spending more on beer than his buddies, he could try just tipping better.

The bartender didn't charge me for another drink the rest of the night

haha, this is exactly how i see it... although at clubs 'round here your choices are pretty damn limited. I do notice a difference between stella and heineken, stella being less 'tart', but by no means is it miles better than Budwieser.

When presented with the choice, I'd prolly drink the wifebeater from overseas tho.
