I thought about a motorcycle as well, just not very practical for my life right now and most of the places I need to commute to I can reach by my bike...which has like 18 gears, a motorcycle only has 6 and we all know chicks love beer bellies and lots of gears!

Yeah TJ, I thought it would be much worse, totally surprised after we bought it.

And MPD, we have more in common than you might imagine, what with weed, gin and tonic (although I'm a Bombay man, myself), campfires and fishing. Of course any sane person loves all those things, but I don't think you'll ever sell me on the Grateful Dead...to quote Killclimb (I think?), I just can't handle that Jingle-Jangle, noodle music!

Now where did I put that bong...

Bikes aren't a bad idea. I used to ride a crotch rocket and consistently got 36mpg commuting to and from work, as well as weekend canyon runs. They are fun as hell, but also very dangerous.

I also had a little rice rocket Integra GS-R, that got 31mpg. But after 173k miles, burning oil, and a blown headgasket among other things, I had to trade it in for the Hybrid.

Filling up twice a month kicks ass.

Now that u mention it perp I do have a half bottle left of saphire...My partner in Manhattan keeps it for when I go down there.
If u really need a third stringer.... try "Burnetts". Its close to tanguery.

My sons friend has an old BMW he converted to vegetable oil. He gets 52mpg..Problem is it stinks like an overcooked french fry. What he does is he goes around to the Burger kings, Denny's and other restaurants and takes the used oil.

I own a 2nd hand 2001 honda dio. 50cc's of pure scooter muscle.
I live very close to the middle of town and scooter to uni through the intense traffic every day.
I spend NZ$10 on gas every 2 weeks and save hours by being able to scooter between traffic

If what they say is true...$6.00 by end of summer I think that will be the straw that breaks the camels back and really force alot of conversions...Its not a big deal to do it....Its running around and getting the oil

But like everything the demand for the oil increases and then the price will also increase, of course it will never get to $6.00 a gallon but I am not sure if it's worth the time of looking for it.
